This evening we start our new summer evening series entitled “Come, Follow Me.” The series, which will run for the month of July, will seek to answer the questions, “What is discipleship?” and “What does it mean to be a disciple?” As we think through those questions from God’s Word, we’ll think about the cost of discipleship, the activities of discipleship, and the mission of disciple making. In tonight’s sermon, we’ll consider the essential marks of discipleship as we look at Jesus’ original call to His disciples as well as their call to others.
